Honoring Mid-Missouri’s Dedicated Teachers
At Prolific Exteriors, we believe in giving back to those who give so much to our community. The Apple for a Teacher Project is our way of honoring the dedicated teachers who make a difference in the lives of our children. Each year, we select one outstanding teacher in Mid-Missouri to receive a brand new roof, absolutely free. It’s a small token of our appreciation for those who play such an essential role in shaping the future.
Why Teachers Matter to Us
Teachers wear many hats beyond their roles in the classroom. They are counselors, caregivers, mentors, and cheerleaders for our children. Through challenging times, they continue to inspire, motivate, and guide young minds.
We’ve seen how challenging it’s been for teachers in recent years, from the pandemic to changing requirements. It’s harder than ever to be an educator. So we wanted to show our appreciation and lend a hand by giving a deserving mid-Missouri teacher a free roof.
Each year we accept nominations from members of the Mid-Missouri community and announce a winner selected in May. This is just the beginning—we hope to grow and find more ways to support teachers in the future.

Past Recipients
2024 Winner – Ashley Crow (Paris R-II)
Our 3rd annual Apple for a Teacher recipient is Ashley Crow. Ashley is a teacher at Paris Elementary School in Paris, Missouri. This was Ashley’s third year being nominated and we couldn’t be happier that she was picked by our board.
2023 Winner – Lori Kostopolus (Prairie Home RV School)
Lori Kostopolus at Prairie Home RV School, Home of the Panthers, was chosen for her hard work and positive attitude both inside and outside the classroom. Lori’s big heart and love for her students made her an outstanding recipient of our Apple for a Teacher award.
2022 Winner – Angela Muenks
Angela Muenks was the inaugural (2022) Prolific Exteriors Apple for Teacher Project Winner! Angela was nominated for this award because of her dedication to her family, students, and the community. It is an honor to award Angela with a brand new roof at no cost to her! Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen and to everyone who sent in a nomination. We received 131 nominations for 42 different teachers across Mid-Missouri! After a thorough review of the nominations, a board of retired teachers selected our winner.
Want to Nominate a Teacher for 2025?
Do you know a teacher who deserves special recognition? We accept nominations each year until April 1st, and the winner is announced in May, during Teacher Appreciation Week.
We are accepting nominations between Jan 1 to March 31 of 2025. Watch for our announcement on Facebook that we are accepting nominations!
