Selection Criteria
Our primary requirement is that teachers nominated work in Mid-Missouri, full-time, in a public school classroom. Our selection committee, composed of retired educators, also evaluates nominations based on:
- Dedication to student success and well-being
- Innovation in teaching methods
- Community involvement
- Leadership in and outside the classroom
- Impact on students’ lives
- Active involvement in school and community activities
- A track record of going above and beyond for their students
- Financial need for roof replacement
